Merethe Soltvedt (pronounced Maretta Soul-tvet) is a singer/songwriter that has appeared on various songs by Two Steps From Hell. She has also released her own albums, (titled Myopia and Audio Charm Bracelet) as well as three singles (In Your Arms, All or Nothing and You Can Go Miles).

With the founding of the company in 2006, Bergersen was looking for a name that would draw attention with the old adage in mind, "All PR is good PR." The idea for the name came from "Two Steps From Heaven", a Norwegian nightclub that, according to Bergersen, had a similar theme going on.
Where is Star Sky used : Star Sky was used in a trailer for the History Channel's "The Universe". None Shall Live/Children of the Sun was used in the trailer for the Ultimate Edition of "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" as well as “The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone" launch trailer DLC and the “Aquaman“ movie trailer.

By age seven, she began performing with her family's band, the Schiffters. After moving to Wichita, Kansas, she performed in rock bands in area clubs and met recording engineer John McBride, whom she married in 1988.
