The biggest issue with the book is that the story glorifies sexual assault. In fact, the whole “romance” boils down to Zade stalking Adeline and then forcing her into a sexual relationship using coercion and violence. The lack of consent is absolutely appalling.To start, the book opens with a warning stating that the book is only meant for people over the age of 18. I can legally vote, drive, and be a functioning member of society, but I still felt too young to read this book. This book is an extremely, very, outrageously dark romance.
Is Haunting Adeline spicy : It's spicy and racey as dark romance is…but I wouldn't say extremely/extra spicy. I've heard so much about this book from TikTok and how everyone is wishing for their own Zade. After reading the book I completely understand why I didn't expect to love the book as much as I do.

While she deals with her conflicting emotions she's also trying to solve her great grandmother's murder.
How long before Zade finds Addie : At first i was dumbfucked how the all mighty Zade took almost 3 months to find his woman. But i realise that unfortunately that is the best case scenario irl. Most victims in skin trade don't get rescued at all..
