So it's certainly possible to survive a really really long time in The Long Dark.The Long Dark was always intended as a single player experience, multiplayer doesn't quite fit with the type of game we are trying to build. Unfortunately at this time we don't have plans to add a multiplayer or co-op mode to the game.
Does dark have 18 scenes : I would not recommend anyone of a sensitive disposition to watch it, and it certainly isn't suitable to allow children to view, due to its depiction of nudity, multiple disturbing deaths and scenes of a graphic nature in general.
