Which stronghold is best : Stronghold Crusader was the best so far. It provided endless fun especially in the custom matches. The Campaign was never too good in my opinion in any of the Strongholds. However, playing against the AI or friends really was fun.
Stronghold HD. what is the difference between various strongholds Stronghold HD and Stronghold Crusader HD are the new remastered versions (basically higher resolution support) of the first two Stronghold games in the series. These two are isometric and based on older sprite graphics, being published in 2001/2002. Stronghold Crusader was the best so far. It provided endless fun especially in the custom matches. The Campaign was never too good in my opinion in any of the Strongholds. However, playing against the AI or friends really was fun.
