Is it okay to skip Ant-Man?
Ant-Man was the key ingredient in saving the entire planet on multiple occasions. Scott Lang was more than just a simple comic-relief side character. The love he held (and still does) for his daughter morphed into a love for protecting the earth.Ant-Man and the Wasp

There's an argument to be made the original Ant-Man is more skippable, especially because the sequel introduces both generations of the Wasp to the superhero franchise. But Scott Lang is still too important to the MCU to omit his origin story. The first "Ant-Man" movie is of course a must-see before watching the latest sequel. The film introduces the title character, as well as other central characters like Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly).

Is the new Ant-Man bad : 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' reviews: The villain is good, but the movie is bad. Marvel Studio's “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” currently holds a “rotten” rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This is only the second Marvel Cinematic Universe film to earn a Rotten rating.

Do I need to watch Ant-Man 1

Ant-Man mostly stands on its own, so for the purposes of getting ready for Infinity War, I say SKIP. But it's really a kick — and it stars the always-charming Paul Rudd — so by all means go back and check it out when you have the time. Captain America: Civil War (2016). Also known (unofficially) as Avengers 2.5.

Despite its absurd romantic storyline, and creepy crawlers, Ant-Man is a superhero film worth seeing. I don't think I've laughed so hard in any other Marvel film. Content collapsed.

Is the first Ant-Man important to watch

“Ant-Man” (2015)

Arguably the funniest entry in the franchise, the first film is important in that it establishes Scott Lang (Rudd), a lovable loser and criminal who winds up being the new Ant-Man under the tough tutelage of original Ant-Man Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and his feisty daughter Hope (Evangeline Lilly).Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now streaming on Disney+. You don't need to watch any Phase Four titles or Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania to understand this movie, but it's the end of a franchise, so you should be familiar with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Not caught up on Peter Quill's adventures in spaceAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania by itself was a decent, average movie that had its moments while also having their cringy moments also. But for the beginning/start-up of Phase 5, not going to lie: it sets up Phase 5 very well.

Many feel the whole package is simply lackluster, with most of it looking rubbery and cheap—anything but convincing. It doesn't help that one key character is an odd-looking floating head. Does it matter if you watch Marvel in order

If you've already seen every Marvel movie, you might want to rewatch them in chronological timeline order. Meaning, the event that occurred first in the timeline—say, Steve Rogers/Captain America living during WWII—comes first.

Most other MCU films have been able to strike a balance between humorous and dramatic but this one leans so heavily on its dark tone that it is simply not fun to watch at times. If the filmmakers wanted make a darker "Ant-Man" film, that's fine, but this is not the way they should have gone about it.I'm not sure of all the movies that you haven't seen from the MCU, but depending on what you haven't seen like the Iron Man movies, Captain America, Ant Man, the previous Avengers movies, Guardians of the galaxy, etc, I would recommend watching all of these movies so you can understand everything from Endgame.
