Winning, losing, score, and ending aren't a part of games like Skylines because it would make no sense. The game is to build your own city and it ends when you want it to. If you need to be told that you "won", then this isn't the type of game for you.Powered by IGN Wiki Guides

Why don’t people like Cities: Skylines 2
The game is really buggy and little things like placing sewers and pipes and power lines is very not-fun. Did you know it can take 10 times longer than it should to place these items sometimes because of bad snapping/game-design Performance issue aside. The Cities Skylines 2 release date is set for October 24, 2023 for PC only. Sadly, it was confirmed on September 29 that the game's release onto PS5, Xbox Series X, and Game Pass has been delayed to Spring 2024.If you're talking about buying RIGHT NOW, I would choose 1 over 2. Wait until the performance issues are worked out for 2. Also, the gameplay is pretty different, maybe not for the better. The first game is in no way outdated and there is plenty of DLC to keep you entertained.

Is Cities Skylines boring without dlc : Absolutely! DLCs just add more to the game and enhance the experience, but they aren't required. If anything, it's better to get used to the base game first, then add DLCs later. Just like Sims 4, it's actually probably better if you get accustomed to the base game first and add stuff one by one later.
How long do people live in Cities Skylines : Eventually your citizens will die of old age and need deathcare. Citizens age very quickly in Cities: Skylines, with a typical lifespan of 6 in-game years; some Steam Workshop modifications can modify the maximum lifespan of citizens.
