Do you have to hold the button the whole time with the Dyson

Nope – Unless you buy a hacked attachment. Like a button clip etc. I think they exist on eBay or even etsy. The single button press/power option is only on the V12 and Gen5 stick vacs.Like all Dyson cordless vacuums, the V15 Detect is easy to reconfigure to a handheld vacuum, and the attachments are easy to swap on and off when you need them. It doesn't stand up on its own (ugh!), so wall mounting is best for storage. The V15 is a better option for heavier-duty cleaning sessions, thanks to a more powerful motor that helps clear debris on carpeted floors more effectively. It also has a larger dustbin that won't need emptying as often.

Does hair get stuck in Dyson V15
On my V15, the little wheels underneath the rollerhead gather hair that gets wrapped up. This results in the wheels being unable to move which messes up the steering and scuffs my wooden floor. To clean, I have to slice the hair around the little wheels and pull it out little by little.
Another issue that can arise, is that the machine will feel hard to push. Thus is due to the machine's suction forming an air tight seal between the cleaner head and the floor. It's usually more common on thicker, more plush carpeting, carpets with thicker padding underneath or even area rugs.Check Height Settings
For example, if your vacuum is set to “bare floor” and you are trying to vacuum shag carpet, there simply is not enough room for the brush to rotate properly or for air to flow. With the proper height setting, your vacuum should move easily.
How many years will a Dyson V15 last : A Dyson vacuum cleaner has a lifespan of around 10 years. This is considerably longer than most other vacuums.
