Both IDP and British Council are part-owners of IELTS along with Cambridge English Language Assessment. Both conduct the IELTS exam but do not write them. There is no difference between IELTS examination at British council or IDP. You can take our tests multiple times, but there are limits for how many times the tests can be started within set periods. The Core Skills Test can only be started twice in a 24-hour period, and 10 times in 28 days. The Writing and Speaking tests can only be started twice in a 24-hour period, and 4 times in 28 days.It is an alternative naming convention for CEFR levels where Vantage means B2 level. Other level names in this convention are: A1- Breakthrough, A2- Waystage, B1- Threshold, B2- Vantage, C1- Advanced, C2- Mastery.
