The Skrulls appeared in the 2019 film Captain Marvel led by Talos. However, as opposed to being ruthless conquerors depicted in the comics, they are fierce yet benevolent creatures who are victims of a genocidal war committed by the Kree Empire (led by the Supreme Intelligence).The creepiness inherent in the Skrulls being humanity's doppelgängers would have been far more palpable had they been made into outright villains, with only Talos, Nick Fury's Skrull wife and perhaps Talos' daughter G'iah being the only good Skrulls.In Marvel Comics, the Kree and the Skrulls were constantly at odds with each other. Since they're both among Marvel's most powerful alien races. their differences and conflicts led to the rise of two separate wars between the two races.

Why are Kree and Skrulls fighting : The Kree-Skrull War is an ongoing conflict between the Kree and the Skrulls that has lasted for thousands of years. The war started when the Skrulls had refused to submit to Kree ideologies, and thus were marked as fugitives.

Yondu Udonta was a survivor above all else. He lived through his time as a Kree slave and become a Ravager captain. Yondu had a soft side and decided to keep Terran child Peter Quill on his ship instead of turning him over to his murderous father.

I believe he is not a Kree. In Avengers Infinity War, they fought Thanos on his own home or planet, Titan. He himself is a hybrid of Eternal-Deviant.

Why is Talos hated : The Thalmor didn't want anyone to worship Talos because he was once a man and the Thalmor could not believe that it would be possible for a man to become a god. For example, Elisif (the Jarl of Solitude) still secretly worships Talos, even though Solitude is the city most strongly allied with the Empire.

Thanos is a mutant member of the race of superhumans known as the Titanian Eternals. Why is Talos illegal : It's strongly implied that the ban on Talos worship was expressly done in order to divide the Empire, weakening its overall strength to allow the Thalmor to more easily conquer it, should the war eventually resume.
